You may have noticed that we have a new category called "PestoMix show" on the left.

There's actually a story behind it: we are launching our first web radio show on danceradio.gr! Every third Friday of the month, we will have a two-hours show. The show is from 3:00pm to 5:00pm CET+1 (which is local greek/Athens time).

Our first issue will be mixed by Jon Silva, introducing Pesto and Traxx as labels with a lot of music from us and some friends. You will also hear a couple of tunes to be released soon and some previously unreleased remix works by Jon for other labels - exclusively on the show.

Starting on Wednesday, April 16th 2008, Jon Silva will be touring Bulgaria.

In association with Relaxators, home of the Opera:tion compilations and base of Bulgaria's underground (including Pestolero DJ Lion among many others), Jon will be touring Bulgaria to promote the South-East European Music Event (short: SeeMe). SeeMe is going to happen for the third time between 5th and 7th June 2008 and has been attracting highly renowned artists and a lot of party people.

We will keep you up to date with a dedicated tour blog - hopefully every day (given there's internet access). If you are sending a message to Pesto Music or Jon, please allow a few days to reply until May 21st.

Announcing Jon Silva's first gig in Estonia, we're happy to tell you that you will have the chance to catch him playing two times.

On Friday, the 11th of April, Jon will be playing the "Ranna" venue in Sillamäe. Support comes from JP and Kris Mil of Macadam Music - the guys behind the fantastic remix for From P60's "New Way" on Pesto 010R. Saturday will see more Pesto madness in Estonia's lovely capital Talinn. Together with DJ Widenski (Macadam) and DJ Affect from Switzerland, Jon is going to rock "Hollywood". After last year's summer of remixes (pt. 1 and pt. 2) was quite successful for Jon Silva, this year is not any worse.
Jon has been asked to remix tunes by Scope on Urban Torque, Andy Sant on Detroit's Kolour Recordings, Orlando Vaughan on Duff Note, Aki-Tek on Red King/Ministry of Sound and Sebastian Davidson on both New York City's Glideslope and our neighbours Clubstar.

Some of those mixes are already finished (despite some took ages - sorry Ateka), some are work in progress. As soon as these releases will be available, we will let you know and provide further information. Earlier this year, you could read about the amazing success of our compilation "2.0". A lot of the tunes entered the charts on countless MP3 stores and found their way into the collection of many DJs.

Today, we're proud to announce that after entering the german album charts on #3 last week, we already sold so many copies that the release was awarded with "Platinum" status. This equals to 500.000 sold copies. As digital downloads are accounted for the official german charts since not so long ago, we're particularly happy to be the first independent label that reached this status!
